Location: Gravesend, Kent
Hours: Permanent position, normal working hours 06.00 - 14.00 (Hours may extend into overtime due to workload and can increase to 50 hours or 60 hours per week). There is also a monthly bonus scheme in addition to basic pay.
Leading Edge Labels & Packaging is an award-winning state of the art UV Flexo Label & Film Printer based in Kent, offering a wide range of innovative packaging solutions to large retail and blue chip companies globally.
The Role: Leading Edge have a requirement for an organised and hard-working individual who is capable of working in a warehouse packing customer products, unloading and loading vehicles and holds a valid UK driving licence. Your main responsibility will be packing customer orders and using the forklift to move pallets around the site, loading and unloading the van. There will also be a need to drive our company van at times for local deliveries/collections.
Main Duties:
- Packing in the Finishing Department.
- Wrapping & Strapping pallets.
- Moving pallets internally with pump trucks.
- General warehouse work tidying the warehouse and following all BRC / Factory rules.
- Emptying Bins.
- Loading / Unloading vehicles.
- Vehicle care and maintenance.
- Some van driving when needed.
What we Require:
- Clean driving license.
- Vehicle care and general maintenance checks.
- Experience in van driving.
- Minimum of counterbalance forklift license (Reach truck can be trained).
- Organisational skills.
- The ability to multitask and work to own initiative.
- Flexible, professional and hard-working approach.
Hours & Pay: Permanent position with normal working hours set during quiet periods at 40 hours per week but during busy periods flexibility to work overtime is required. The core hours of this role are 6:00am - 14:00pm / 06:00 - 16:00 or 06:00 - 18:00 dependent on the business needs. Salary of around £27,000 with a monthly Bonus scheme and good potential for overtime to increase earnings.
