We are looking for an experienced Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (TKI) to join our Ground School, supporting our goal of igniting minds and fuelling futures. As a TKI, you'll blend your deep aviation knowledge with innovative teaching to create engaging, impactful learning experiences. You'll lead by example, fostering a supportive environment where high‑calibre students—handpicked through our rigorous selection process—thrive and exceed their potential.

Compensation: £45,000 - £55,000 / year

Role Duties

  • Ground School Excellence: Fuel your genuine passion for aviation by delivering captivating theoretical knowledge sessions across key EASA/CAA ATPL(A) subjects—like aircraft performance, human factors, and navigation—that align with your expertise. Craft and refine high‑quality course materials that stay ahead of the curve, incorporating fresh insights and cutting‑edge teaching methods to keep students hooked and learning effectively. Track student progress with personalized feedback, celebrate milestones, and guide them toward mastering ATPL(A) exam standards, while stepping in as a course mentor to inspire and support on a rotational basis. Serve as a subject‑matter expert in your specialty, collaborating to evolve course content and ensure every lesson delivers consistency and wow‑factor engagement. Lead assessments, exams, and remedial sessions with fairness and insight, acting as an assessor and moderator to help students unlock their potential.
  • Flight Safety Advocacy: Be a champion for our unwavering commitment to flight safety—work hand‑in‑hand with colleagues across the academy to weave safety principles into every lesson, fostering a proactive mindset among students. Spark enthusiasm for safety participation, turning it into an exciting part of the journey rather than just a checkbox.
  • Team and Admin Contributions: Keep the pulse on student journeys by monitoring progress, sharing triumphs, and addressing challenges early to ensure everyone stays on track.
