The Driver will play an important role in supporting Leading Edge Aviation by ensuring the safe, reliable, and timely transport of our students, while also helping with the day-to-day care and upkeep of our facilities.
We are advertising for part-time 15hrs per week with a potential for overtime. Shift patterns can be discussed at interview.
Responsibilities- Driving the Leading Edge Aviation minibus
- Responsible for the health and safety, comfort and welfare of students and employees in their care
- Carrying out daily and weekly vehicle checks and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any defects, faults and incidents in line with relevant internal procedures, taking corrective measures when necessary
- Ensuring the vehicle is in a clean, both inside and out, and roadworthy condition before and after use
- Refuelling the vehicle as required
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle usage
- Planning alternative road routes to and from the academy
- Supporting Open Days and events set-up
- General office maintenance
- Supporting the operations team with basic airside responsibilities
- Ad-hoc jobs as required
- Liaising with external Facilities Management company for larger jobs as required
- Full clean driving licence and D1 entitlement
- Competent to undertake daily and weekly vehicle checks and carry out basic maintenance
- Reliable and trustworthy, with a can-do attitude
- Pleasant, friendly and engaging, with an approachable personality
- Ability to communicate with a range of people
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
