We are looking for a Chief MCCI (CMCCI) to join our team of expert instructors. You will be a qualified and current MCCI (Multi-Crew Cooperation Instructor), fully capable of delivering all elements of the APS MCC course, both in the simulator and classroom environment. In addition to instructional duties, the CMCCI leads the team of MCCI's and the MCC department, including line management, course scheduling, training administration, courseware development and updates, as well as the integration and management of new IT technologies within the training environment. You will also be a key member of the Leading Edge management team.
You will be an experienced leader with a passion for ensuring excellence throughout your department. This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week, based at our campus just outside of Oxford.
ROLE DUTIES
- Deliver high quality and engaging lessons to our student pilots, both in ground school and the simulator. The CMCCI usually teaches 4 lessons per week.
- Maintain an efficient, professional and quality training department.
- Lead the planning of the APS MCC schedule, ensuring efficiency and optimum resource management.
- Plan and lead MCCI standardisation in conjunction with current nominated standards.
- Ensure all courseware is managed and updated in liaison with the original development team.
- In conjunction with the FSTD Organisation Manager and Compliance Manager assist and participate in FSTD maintenance and testing.
- Manage ongoing utilisation of new technologies for use including further development work on our VR tool.
- Develop current or additional courses as required to reflect changes in regulations, relationships with airlines or introduction of new FSTDs.
- Liaise with the Facilities manager regarding the sim centre infrastructure and FSTDs as required.
- Lead initiatives to expand and grow aspects of the business that are dependent on use of FSTDs.
- Liaise with contractor MCCIs to obtain availability and ensure cover when required.
- Responsible for the issue and recovery of the VR headsets, to be issued to students in advance of the course.
- Any other reasonable duties required by the business from time to time.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Current UK CAA qualified MCCI (Dual UK/EASA MCCI desirable).
- TRI/TRE and SFI/SFE (desirable).
- A320 and/or 737 experience (minimum of 2 years).
- 2 years' experience to be in the last 5 years to ensure knowledge of current Airline Operations (desirable).
- Demonstrable experience as an MCCI delivering APS MCC courses (or previous experience as an instructor).
- Previous simulator training management experience.
- Previous experience managing projects (desirable).
- Experience leading a department.
- People leadership experience.
- To have and maintain the highest personal and professional standards.
- Commitment to ensuring excellence in your work.
- Ability to work independently and on your own initiative when appropriate.
- Strong report writing and IT skills with a good understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite.
- A flexible approach, with the ability to work shifts as per the established rota.
