Overview

As a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of individuals in their own homes. You will assist with various tasks, ranging from everyday chores to addressing complex care needs. Driving or walking between clients\’ homes will be a regular part of your job. Working closely with individuals in need, your role as a Healthcare Assistant will offer a diverse range of responsibilities each day. Work patterns and availability

Recognizing that every member of our team has their own family to care for, our role offers the flexibility to accommodate your home life. You can choose between full-time or part-time work by informing us of your availability. While we strive to be flexible, we also require flexibility from our team members. We encourage alternating weekend shifts, and our shift patterns are 07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00.

Holiday and scheduling notes

Availability is agreed with all staff prior to starting work with us. We operate a 2 week rota, Week 1 and Week 2, expecting weekend cover one weekend out of the two for full time workers.

All staff are allowed 28 days of paid holiday per year; this is granted based upon the ability of the service to cover calls during the proposed vacation time. The company always tries to fulfil vacation requests, however short notice requests can be difficult to grant, so we advise all staff to delay confirming any holiday bookings until time off has been approved.
