Founded by Nawal Arshad, LOF delivers accredited ILM leadership qualifications and dynamic personal development programmes across the UK and internationally. Our learning experiences combine real-world simulations, teamwork challenges, and reflective practice to help students discover their strengths and lead with confidence.
1. Purpose of the Role
This unique dual-function role combines educational expertise with commercial acumen. You will:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality workshops and coaching sessions that build leadership and life skills in young people.
- Generate new business opportunities by building relationships with schools, organisations, and parent communities (B2B and B2C).
- Convert your professional interactions into long-term partnerships and programme enrolments.
- Represent LOF's mission and values through both delivery excellence and strategic outreach.
This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial educator who can seamlessly transition between facilitation and business development, leveraging classroom credibility to open doors and sales skills to scale impact.
2. Key Deliverables
Programme Delivery (50% of role)
- Facilitate interactive workshops, simulations, and classes using LOF’s approved curriculum.
- Adapt delivery for different age groups (10-12, 13-15, 16-18) and learning styles.
- Foster a psychologically safe, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
- Use experiential, discussion-based, and reflective learning methods.
- Liaise with LOF’s Programme Director/CEO regarding content, feedback, and scheduling.
- Track student engagement, attendance, and participation data.
- Maintain accurate records in LOF's learning management portal.
- Uphold LOF policies on Safeguarding, Data Protection, and Code of Conduct.
Business Development & Partnerships (50% of role)
- Identify and qualify potential partners and customers across B2B (schools, MATs, charities) and B2C (parents, students) channels.
- Build target lists and develop pipelines through networking, events, and social media.
- Engage decision-makers (headteachers, counsellors, charity directors, parents) and present LOF programmes compellingly.
- Conduct consultative sales calls, tailor proposals to partner needs, and close agreements.
- Attend education fairs, community events, and conferences to promote LOF.
- Leverage delivery experience and student outcomes to build credibility in sales conversations.
- Nurture long-term relationships to drive renewals, referrals, and expanded partnerships.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of all leads, activities, and attribution data.
- Submit weekly activity reports and meet quarterly targets for enrolments and revenue.
- Provide market feedback to inform programme design and marketing strategy.
3. Essential Skills & Experience
Education Expertise
- Proven experience teaching or facilitating youth sessions.
- Strong communication and workshop facilitation skills (in-person and virtual).
- Demonstrable ability to engage diverse learners through interactive techniques.
- Knowledge of leadership, resilience, critical thinking, self-awareness and emotional intelligence frameworks.
- Familiarity with online delivery platforms (Zoom, Teams).
- Qualification in Education, Psychology, Youth Work, coaching or equivalent experience.
- Able to adjust teaching style to different age groups and learning styles.
Business Development Expertise
- Proven record in business development or sales, ideally within education or youth services.
- Demonstrated success in consultative B2B sales and B2C campaigns.
- Understanding of UK education sector, school procurement, and funding streams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Confident networker and public speaker.
- Data-driven approach to pipeline and CRM management.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with self-motivation and resilience.
4. Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering leadership development or social-emotional learning programmes.
- Background in psychology, education, youth work, or social sciences.
- Established connections with schools, counselling networks, or youth organisations.
- Experience selling educational programmes, online courses, or training services.
- Experience in international markets (Middle East, South Asia).
- Experience with experiential learning methodologies.
- Knowledge of social media marketing for B2C lead generation.
