Paediatric Clinical Lead – Birmingham / Coventry (Midlands)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per year (DOE) + Mileage (45p/mile)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (Hybrid & Flexible)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We are recruiting a Paediatric Clinical Lead to join a leading UK complex-care provider, supporting children and families across Birmingham and Coventry.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Children\’s Nurse who is ready to step into leadership within community complex care. As the Paediatric Clinical Lead, you will oversee paediatric complex-care packages, complete assessments, provide specialist clinical training and ensure gold-standard governance and safety.

The Paediatric Clinical Lead role offers hybrid working, flexibility, strong clinical support and structured career development.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage paediatric complex-care packages, including assessments, risk management and clinical reviews
Complete new client assessments and contribute to MDT and commissioning meetings
Conduct clinical audits, incident reviews and maintain full CQC compliance
Mentor and clinically supervise nurses and support workers, including competency sign-offs
Deliver specialist paediatric training including tracheostomy care, ventilation, suctioning and enteral feeding
Build strong relationships with families, external MDTs, case managers and ICB professionals
Provide clinical escalation and decision-making support as the acting Paediatric Clinical Lead

Requirements
Registered Children\’s Nurse (RNC / RSCN) with valid NMC registration
Experience in PICU, HDU or community paediatric complex care
Strong leadership ability with experience in training and governance
Excellent clinical judgement, communication and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
