Are you a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist looking to develop your private practice, with the flexibility to work around your existing commitments? Perhaps you're looking to reduce your NHS hours, build a private caseload or move towards a permanent position without making the jump straight away.

Leaders in Care is working with an established independent mental health and neurodevelopmental provider offering the opportunity to do exactly that.

What's on offer?

  • £145,000–£175,000 FTE for permanent appointments, pro rata for part-time hours.
  • Flexible working arrangements, whether you're interested in permanent employment or associate work.
  • Start with 1–3 days per week, with the opportunity to increase your commitment as your caseload develops.
  • Face-to-face or remote options, with a preference for clinicians able to attend the Leamington Spa service.
  • An existing patient caseload and new referrals, allowing you to gradually develop a sustainable private practice.
  • Continuity of care, giving you the opportunity to support patients beyond their initial assessment.
  • A potential route into permanent employment, if you'd prefer to start on an associate basis.

The Role

Rather than focusing solely on completing high volumes of assessments, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships with patients and families, taking responsibility for their ongoing psychiatric care. Your work will include specialist assessments, treatment planning, medication management and follow-up consultations, supported by the wider clinical team. The provider understands that experienced consultants often have established professional commitments and is happy to discuss working arrangements that accommodate these.

What We're Looking For

You'll be a GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist on the Specialist Register in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with experience assessing and treating children and young people, including ADHD, autism and associated mental health conditions. Whether you're looking for one day per week alongside your current position or considering a more permanent move into independent practice, we'd be interested in speaking with you.
