The role would suit a Senior Paediatric Nurse, Community Children’s Nurse or Complex Care Nurse looking to progress into a senior community-based leadership position while maintaining a strong clinical focus.
As a Paediatric Clinical Lead, you will oversee community complex care packages, support clinical governance, complete assessments and ensure safe delivery of care within the home environment. You will work closely with families, commissioners and multidisciplinary teams while supporting the mobilisation of new packages across the region.

The Role
The Paediatric Clinical Lead will oversee and support community-based paediatric complex care packages across Berkshire and surrounding areas. You will take responsibility for clinical oversight, governance, staff competency and safe package mobilisation while supporting children with a range of complex clinical needs including tracheostomy care, ventilation and enteral feeding.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage paediatric complex care packages across Berkshire and surrounding areas.
- Complete clinical assessments, care plans and risk assessments.
- Deliver clinical training, competency assessments and staff supervision.
- Support clinical governance and safe mobilisation of new care packages.
- Work closely with families, commissioners and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support care delivery involving tracheostomy care, ventilation, enteral feeding and other complex clinical interventions.
- Maintain high standards of clinical compliance and documentation.
About You
- Registered Children’s Nurse (RSCN or RN Child) with an active NMC pin.
- Experience within paediatric complex care in the community.
- Previous senior, leadership or supervisory experience within children’s services.
- Strong understanding of clinical governance and community care delivery.
- Confident supporting and developing clinical care teams.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
