This is your opportunity to join a highly regarded Residential Childcare Service in Jersey, Channel Islands, supporting children and young people with complex needs in dedicated short break homes. Offering £22.50 per hour (outside IR35), this role includes free travel and shared accommodation, allowing you to maximise your take-home pay while making a genuine difference to children's lives.
Working within a trauma-informed, child-centred service, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex physical and learning disabilities, autism, medical needs, communication difficulties, and other additional needs. You'll help create safe, nurturing environments where children can enjoy meaningful experiences, develop independence, and reach their full potential.
You'll become part of a supportive, experienced team working alongside families and a range of professionals including education, healthcare, CAMHS, social workers and other multi-agency partners. The service is led by an established management team committed to providing excellent support, supervision and professional development.
About the Role
- Providing person-centred care and support for children and young people with complex needs.
- Supporting daily routines, personal care, community activities and social experiences.
- Assisting with medication administration and, where required, PEG feeding.
- Using trauma-informed approaches to build positive relationships and promote emotional wellbeing.
- Working collaboratively with families and professionals to deliver outstanding outcomes.
- Safeguarding children and ensuring their voices remain central to all planning and decision-making.
