New 4-Bed Children’s Home | Lead the Registration & Opening | Salary up to £80,000 Are you an experienced Children’s Residential Registered Manager looking for the opportunity to lead a brand-new home from the very beginning? Leaders In Care are working with an ambitious provider who are opening a new 4-bedded children’s home in Harrow. The home is based within a fully prepared 7-bedroom property and currently has no children placed, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to establish the home, shape the team and build a high-quality service from the ground up. The provider already has an Responsible Individual (RI) in place and is looking for a strong Registered Manager to take ownership of the home and lead it through the Ofsted registration process and opening. The Role As Registered Manager, you will have a key role in developing and managing the home, ensuring children receive outstanding care while maintaining full compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes Regulations. You will be responsible for: Leading the home through the Ofsted registration and opening process Developing a strong, child-focused team and positive culture Managing staff, rotas, supervision, training and performance Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care and compliance Managing referrals, placement matching, risk assessments and care plans Building effective relationships with families, professionals and multi-agency partners Ensuring the home meets the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards Preparing for and managing future Ofsted inspections Taking ownership of the day-to-day running and development of the homeAbout You We are looking for an experienced and confident residential childcare professional who can take ownership of a new service and help establish it to a high standard. You will ideally have: 3–4+ years' experience in children's residential care management Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager is highly desirable Experience working with children within residential settings, including EBD and/or learning disabilities A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or currently working towards it Strong knowledge of Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards Excellent understanding of safeguarding, safer recruitment and compliance Experience leading teams, managing rotas and providing effective supervision Strong experience with referrals, risk assessments, care planning and placement matching The confidence to work with Ofsted and lead the home through registration and inspection Strong communication, leadership and organisational skillsWhat’s on Offer £65,000 – £80,000 salary, depending on experience Opportunity to lead a brand-new 4-bedded children's home Significant autonomy to shape the home and establish the team Opportunity to take the home through Ofsted registration and opening Support from an experienced provider and Responsible Individual already in place Long-term progression and development opportunities A genuinely exciting opportunity to make your mark on a new serviceIf you're an experienced Children's Residential Manager who is ready to take the next step and build a new home from the ground up, this could be an excellent opportunity.
