Consultant Psychiatrist / Clinical Lead. Children’s Mental Health Service. Remote. Part-time. Some part-time senior roles are only part-time on paper. This one has been designed properly. I’m supporting an established private mental health provider with the appointment of a Consultant Psychiatrist / Clinical Lead for their children’s service. The current lead is retiring, so this is a planned replacement rather than a rushed gap fill. The service is looking for someone who can bring senior clinical judgement, maintain high standards, support governance, and help guide the next stage of the children’s pathway. The role is remote and expected to sit around 15-20 hours per week, with availability spread across the week rather than fixed into one full day. There is also flexibility to combine the leadership element with clinical associate work, if that suits. What makes it interesting: Established private mental health service. Children’s pathway with wider adult and family provision around it. Remote working. Part-time structure. Strong operational support. Scope to influence standards, governance and service development. Flexibility around the final structure for the right person. This would suit a Consultant Psychiatrist who enjoys clinical leadership but does not want a full-time executive post or a role buried in operational noise. You will need: GMC Specialist Registration. Consultant-level experience. Strong children and young people’s mental health experience. A long-term, quality-led approach. The ability to provide senior oversight, not just clinical delivery. Salary/rate is flexible, but expected to be competitive and broadly aligned to a £145,000-£160,000 FTE equivalent, depending on experience and final structure. If this sounds like a role worth discussing properly, message me directly and I’ll share more detail in confidence. (url removed) (phone number removed)
