Lead medical practice within a specialist neurobehavioural rehabilitation setting. This is a 20-bed Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation Service supporting adults with acquired brain injury and complex neuropsychiatric needs. The service provides structured rehabilitation programmes within a transdisciplinary care framework, allowing you to focus on thoughtful clinical leadership rather than constant crisis management.

About the Service
You will work within a transdisciplinary team delivering neurobehavioural rehabilitation for adults with acquired brain injury and complex needs. Many patients are admitted informally or under relevant legal frameworks. The role offers senior clinical influence, strategic oversight and close collaboration with operational teams to maintain high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead psychiatric assessment, formulation and treatment planning within a rehabilitation context.
- Chair MDT meetings, clinical reviews and governance activities.
- Administer the Mental Health Act where appropriate and ensure compliance with statutory frameworks.
- Supervise medical and multidisciplinary colleagues and contribute to staff development.
About You
- GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist with CCT or CESR and licence to practise.
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status, or the ability to achieve this.
- Experience in neuropsychiatry, rehabilitation or closely related specialist areas.
- Commitment to structured, evidence-based practice and collaborative clinical leadership.
