We’re working with a well-established, independent healthcare provider to recruit a dedicated Social Worker to support children and young people with complex mental health needs in a structured clinical environment. This is a pivotal safeguarding-focused role, ideal for someone confident working within multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex cases.

You’ll take the lead on safeguarding and child protection, supporting young people with needs including:

  • Autism spectrum conditions
  • Eating disorders
  • Learning disabilities
  • Attachment and developmental difficulties
  • Mental Health Act involvement

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on all safeguarding and child protection matters
  • Manage referrals to local authorities, police, and external agencies
  • Complete comprehensive social care assessments from admission to discharge
  • Contribute to Care Programme Approach (CPA) processes
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Prepare reports for tribunals, hearings, and reviews
  • Support families, carers, and external stakeholders

  • Qualified Social Worker (registered with relevant UK body)
  • Experience working with children & young people, ideally in mental health or CAMHS
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation & frameworks
  • Confidence managing complex cases and multi-agency working
  • Ability to work both independently and within a clinical team
