We're recruiting on behalf of an established healthcare organisation delivering specialist clinical services for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering ADHD assessments for children and young people.
You'll provide specialist speech, language and communication input within the ADHD diagnostic pathway, helping to identify communication profiles, functional impacts and support needs that may influence a child's presentation and everyday experiences. You'll complete specialist assessments, gather information from families, schools and other professionals, and contribute valuable clinical insight to multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions.
Working alongside experienced clinicians, you'll support evidence-based assessment and formulation by integrating communication findings with wider developmental information. You'll produce clear, accessible reports and provide practical recommendations to help children, young people and families understand communication needs and access appropriate support.
You'll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments through effective teamwork, strong clinical governance and a commitment to positive outcomes. The role provides the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, contribute to pathway improvements and help shape the quality of services offered to children and families.
What we're looking for:
- HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist.
- Experience working with children and young people within neurodevelopmental, paediatric, CAMHS or related services.
- Experience assessing speech, language and communication needs within an ADHD or wider neurodevelopmental pathway.
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and report-writing skills.
- Ability to contribute specialist communication expertise within MDT decision-making.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting children with developmental differences.
- Experience working with children presenting with ADHD, ASD/ADHD overlap or complex developmental profiles is desirable.
