Work as an Agency Chemotherapy Nurse for a nationally recognised, specialist provider of Cancer Care. This is a community-based role covering Aberdeenshire, working via our agency on a temporary contract.
As an Agency Chemotherapy Nurse, you will provide oncology patients with a range of treatments in their own homes. This role offers 32 to 40 hour contracts per week, with guaranteed shifts, working 4 or 5 days per week. Contracts are issued on a 3 month basis, with flexibility to extend.
Responsibilities- Provide oncology patients with treatments in the patients’ own homes.
- Perform bloods
- Conduct toxicity assessments
- Administer IV chemotherapy
- Administer oral chemotherapy
- Carry out pump disconnections
- Line care
- IM and SC injections
- And related community oncology interventions
- Competitive hourly rate of £43 to £48 per hour based on experience
- Mileage expenses
- Monday to Friday role, approximately 8 hours per day
- Guaranteed shifts
- No bank holiday working
- Active NMC Pin as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in Oncology, Haematology or Chemotherapy is essential
- Cannulation and venepuncture experience
- Full UK driving licence
- SACT Passport or equivalent qualification
