Residential Home Manager A well-established, medium-sized residential care home in Stockport is looking for an experienced Home Manager to lead the service.
This is an opportunity for a strong and visible manager who understands that good care, a stable team and sound operational management are essential to a successful home. You will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring residents receive safe, person-centred care in a welcoming and well-managed environment.
The role. As Home Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading, developing and retaining a capable and caring staff team.
- Maintaining high standards of person-centred residential and dementia care.
- Ensuring the home remains compliant with CQC requirements, safeguarding responsibilities and relevant legislation.
- Managing care planning, medication processes, risk assessments, audits and quality assurance.
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, GPs, local authorities and other healthcare professionals.
- Managing recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and performance management.
- Monitoring occupancy, enquiries, staffing levels, agency use and budgets.
- Responding appropriately to complaints, incidents and safeguarding concerns.
