Clinical Psychologist β Children & Young People (ASD Service)

Hours: Full-time
Salary : Up to Β£60,000
We're working alongside a specialist autism service based in Staffordshire, who are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join their multidisciplinary team, primarily supporting children aged 4β11, with some work with young people up to the age of 25.
You will carry out specialist autism assessments, working closely with children, families and other professionals to build a clear understanding of each individual's needs. You will contribute to diagnostic decisions, clinical formulation and recommendations, while providing clear reports and sensitive feedback to families.
Alongside assessment work, you will support interventions, workshops and wider MDT discussions, as well as contributing to clinical governance, risk management and service development.
Key responsibilities:
β’ Complete autism assessments using a range of clinical information and assessment methods.
β’ Contribute to diagnostic decision-making and clinical formulation.
β’ Produce clear assessment reports and provide feedback to families.
β’ Provide psychological advice and support to families and other professionals.
β’ Contribute to interventions, workshops and MDT meetings.
β’ Support risk management, outcome monitoring and service development.

Experience & Qualifications:
β’ HCPC registered Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychologist.
β’ Experience assessing and diagnosing autism in children and young people.
β’ Experience working with children, families and individuals with complex needs.
β’ Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
β’ Experience using psychological assessments, observations and structured interviews.
β’ Strong skills in clinical formulation, assessment and report writing.
β’ Experience providing training, teaching and/or supervision.
β’ Good understanding of risk assessment and management.
β’ Ability to communicate sensitively when working with complex or emotive situations.
