If you enjoy autonomous practice and want occasional out-of-hours work where your clinical judgement is genuinely relied upon, this is a good opportunity to support patients across community hospital settings.
The service provides out-of-hours clinical cover for adult inpatients receiving rehabilitation, intermediate care, sub-acute, palliative and step-up care.
You will support nursing teams with assessment, treatment decisions, prescribing where within scope, escalation planning and advice.
It is a varied role rather than a traditional clinic list.
Presentations can include acute deterioration, pain, falls, frailty and sub-acute illness, with a mixture of telephone advice, remote review and face-to-face assessment depending on clinical need.
