An established care provider is seeking an experienced Interim Home Manager to provide strong leadership within a residential care home in Harrogate. This is a hands-on role for a capable manager who can quickly assess the service, support the team and maintain safe, high-quality care. You will be confident managing operational pressures, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring the home remains compliant and well led.

The role: As Interim Home Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing visible day-to-day leadership across the home.
  • Maintaining safe, person-centred care for residents.
  • Supporting and directing the management and care team.
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC requirements, safeguarding duties and company policies.
  • Reviewing care plans, medication processes, risk assessments, audits and action plans.

About you: You will be an experienced Home Manager, Registered Manager or turnaround-focused Interim Manager with a background in elderly residential, dementia or nursing care. You will need:

  • Proven experience managing a CQC-regulated care home.
  • A strong working knowledge of safeguarding, care governance and CQC compliance.
  • Experience leading teams through operational or quality challenges.
  • Confidence with audits, care planning, medication management and action planning.
  • The ability to establish credibility quickly with staff, residents and families.
  • A calm, organised and practical approach.
  • Availability to start at short notice.
  • An active NMC PIN would be beneficial, but is not essential.
