You will take ownership of a newly awarded domiciliary care contract in Widnes, delivering approximately 1,500 hours of care per week, supported by a large, well-resourced national care organisation. Rather than inheriting legacy issues, you will be trusted to set standards, build the team and establish a strong, compliant and person-centred service from the ground up. The organisation combines national infrastructure, proven systems and sector expertise with a strong emphasis on local leadership autonomy.
The role:
- Full day-to-day operational leadership of the domiciliary care service
- Recruitment, development and retention of a stable, high-performing workforce
- Ensuring safe staffing levels and effective rota management
- Accountability for CQC compliance and inspection readiness
- Oversight of care quality, audits, safeguarding and documentation
- Managing budgets, performance and service growth
- Building trusted relationships with commissioners, professionals and families
- Creating a values-led culture focused on quality, dignity and outcomes
About you:

- Proven leadership experience within domiciliary care
- A strong, practical understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
- Confidence managing people, performance and compliance
- Commercial awareness and the ability to grow and stabilise a service
- NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, or a clear commitment to completing it
Why this role stands out:
This is not a maintenance role. It is an opportunity for a Registered Domiciliary Care Manager who wants ownership, credibility and the space to lead properly. If you are motivated by building teams, raising standards and delivering care you can be proud of, this role offers the platform to do exactly that.
