Are you a qualified Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) with a background in Palliative Care, Community Nursing or End of Life Care? This is an opportunity to join a specialist palliative care service where your prescribing skills and clinical expertise will make a genuine difference to patients living with complex, life-limiting illnesses.

Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering responsive, compassionate care that improves comfort, manages complex symptoms and supports patients and families when they need it most. Based from one of the Berkshire hubs, you will work across local services throughout Berkshire West and South Oxfordshire, combining autonomous practice with close collaboration across community and specialist teams.

The Role

As a Non-Medical Prescriber, you will use your advanced clinical knowledge to assess, manage and prescribe for patients with complex palliative care needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out comprehensive clinical assessments
  • Independently prescribing to support complex symptom management
  • Delivering expert palliative and end of life care
  • Providing specialist advice and guidance to patients, carers and healthcare professionals
  • Supporting telephone triage and responding to clinical enquiries
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, community teams and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Maintaining accurate, high-quality clinical records while advocating for outstanding patient care

About You

You will be an experienced clinician who is confident working autonomously while building strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams. You will have:

  • RGN with active NMC registration
  • V300 Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
  • Previous palliative care experience
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Excellent communication, assessment and clinical decision-making skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding palliative and end of life care
