We are currently working with a well-established South Coast local authority seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on a long-term basis. About the Service
You will be joining a dedicated Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub committed to delivering timely and effective safeguarding responses. The service places a strong emphasis on partnership working, information sharing, and high-quality decision-making to ensure children and families receive the most appropriate intervention at the earliest opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and assess contacts and referrals relating to children and families
- Undertake threshold decision-making in line with safeguarding procedures
- Gather, analyse, and evaluate information from partner agencies
- Identify risk and protective factors to inform safeguarding decisions
- Work closely with police, health, education, and other statutory partners
- Make recommendations regarding appropriate interventions and service pathways
- Complete high-quality assessments, records, and reports
- Ensure children's voices and lived experiences are central to all decision-making
- Contribute to strategy discussions and safeguarding planning where required
About You
- Qualified Social Worker
- Registered with Social Work England
- Recent experience within a MASH, Referral & Assessment, Front Door, or Safeguarding Team
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and threshold decision-making skills
- Experience working within a multi-agency environment
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced setting
