Are you a passionate Senior Specialist Speech & Language Therapist looking to make a difference? Our client, a leading organisation dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with brain injuries, is seeking an experienced therapist to join their innovative centre, on a part time basis in York. This role offers the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team in providing top‑notch neurorehabilitation services.
Join a team that truly cares, with a competitive salary ranging from £47,000 to £55,000 (pro rata for 28 hours a week) depending on experience, along with 38 days of annual leave (including bank holidays) and an array of benefits.
Responsibilities
- Lead and provide professional guidance to a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
- Work autonomously to assess and address communication impacts on daily life.
- Collaborate with patients and their social networks to overcome communication barriers.
- Develop management plans and rehabilitation strategies, seeking specialist assessments when needed.
- Deliver training to staff and service users’ social networks.
- Play a key role in service and organisational development.

About You
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the HCPC.
- Achieved Dysphagia Competencies.
- Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in acquired brain injury.
- Ability to manage complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload.
- At least 4 years of qualified experience, including complex case management.
