Senior Safeguarding Nurse (MASH) , working within the Childrens Social Care Front Door in Grimsby.
This is a specialist safeguarding opportunity for an experienced clinician looking to influence decisions and outcomes for children and young people aged 0 - 18.
As a
Senior Safeguarding Nurse (MASH) , you will act as the health safeguarding lead within the Childrens Social Care Front Door, ensuring health information is effectively gathered, analysed and used to support safeguarding decisions.
You will work alongside existing safeguarding colleagues and professionals across social care, police, education and health.
Package & Contract £35 - £40 per hour.
Initial 3-month agency contract.
Potential extension to 6 months. 0.8 WTE, 4 days per week.
Office based in Grimsby.
ASAP start.
About the Role Working within a busy Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), you will provide specialist health safeguarding expertise to support statutory decision-making at the point of referral.
The
Senior Safeguarding Nurse (MASH)
will analyse complex information from health and partner agencies, contribute to multi-agency discussions and help ensure children receive the right safeguarding response at the earliest opportunity.
Key Responsibilities Act as the health representative within MASH and contribute to statutory safeguarding decision-making.
Gather, analyse and interpret health information from multiple providers.
Contribute specialist safeguarding expertise to multi-agency discussions and strategy meetings.
Work alongside social care, police, education and health professionals.
Support referral outcomes and Childrens Social Care Front Door decision-making.
Contribute to safeguarding assessments, reports, case discussions and multi-agency meetings.
Support quality assurance, service improvement and safeguarding processes.
Provide advice on safeguarding policies, procedures and best practice.
About You Registered clinician with NMC registration or relevant professional registration.
Significant experience in safeguarding children and multi-agency working.
Strong understanding of Childrens Social Care referral pathways and MASH processes.
Experience analysing complex safeguarding information and contributing to decisions.
Experience with safeguarding assessments, reports and strategy discussions.
Able to work effectively within a fast-paced Childrens Social Care Front Door environment.
