Are you a Registered Nurse looking for your next leadership role in specialist dementia care? We are recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Deputy Nursing Home Manager to join a well-respected 70 bed Care home in St Helens. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse-qualified leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care, supporting clinical teams, and making a real difference to residents living with dementia and complex needs.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will combine clinical leadership and supernumerary management to support the Home Manager in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

The Role

As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in leading the nursing and care teams, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring the home remains compliant, compassionate, and inspection-ready. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Home Manager in the overall management of the service
  • Leading and developing the nursing team to deliver excellent standards of care
  • Overseeing care planning, clinical governance, and medication management
  • Supporting the safe delivery of complex nursing and dementia care
  • Monitoring and improving quality, compliance, and best practice
  • Deputising for the Home Manager in their absence
About You

We are looking for a confident and caring nurse leader who can inspire others and bring strong clinical judgement to the role. You will need:

  • A current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN
  • Experience working in elderly care and/or dementia care
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent knowledge of clinical standards and CQC expectations
  • A calm, professional approach to care delivery
  • The ability to build trust with residents, families, and colleagues
  • A genuine passion for high-quality, person-centred care
  • Experience in a deputy management or senior clinical leadership role would be highly beneficial, but we are also open to strong nurses ready to step up.
