Our client, a not-for-profit organisation, is seeking a Registered Manager for their brand new children\'s residential home, set to open in Spring 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team in a supportive environment, ensuring children with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioural difficulties receive the best care possible.
This role offers a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum, with an additional bonus scheme based on experience. As the Registered Manager, you will:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children\'s home.
  • Lead and support a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers.
  • Act as a corporate parent, ensuring the well-being and development of the children.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere for both staff and children.
  • Play a key role in setting up and developing the new service.
  • Lead Ofsted home inspections.

The ideal Registered Manager will have:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People\'s Services (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in planning and implementing high-standard care plans.
  • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex behaviours.
  • Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.
  • Experience opening new services is advantageous.
  • We will consider a Deputy with a minimum of 2 years experience who is ready to step up to Manager.
