We are seeking a Children & Families Social Work Team Manager to lead, support and develop a skilled social work team delivering high-quality statutory services. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for professional practice, safeguarding, staff development and service improvement.

About the role

As Team Manager, you will:

  • Provide strong, reflective leadership to a Children & Families social work team
  • Ensure high standards of child protection, risk management and care planning
  • Oversee complex and high-risk cases, chairing key meetings where required
  • Embed a culture of learning, supervision and continuous improvement
  • Support and develop Newly Qualified Social Workers and experienced practitioners
  • Manage team resources and budgets effectively, ensuring best value
  • Work closely with partner agencies to deliver integrated, child-centred services
  • Contribute to service development and strategic priorities across the HSCP
  • Participate in the out-of-hours senior standby rota
