As aCommunity Nurse, you will provide high-quality, home-based care to patients undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), including both adults and children. Youll play a key role in ensuring safe, effective treatment in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support patients with Automated and Manual Peritoneal Dialysis
- Connect and disconnect PD machines during home visits
- Administer IV medications and monitor patient observations (e.g., blood pressure, weight)
- Perform catheter site care and dressing changes
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, manage stock and waste
- Communicate with hospital PD units when clinical advice or intervention is needed
- Provide care to both adult and paediatric patients in their own homes
- Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse or Childrens Nurse
- Minimum 2 years post-registration experience
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Essex
- Previous community experience is desirable but not essential
- Annual salary of £36,000 with £4,800 guaranteed car allowance paid monthly (£40,800 per annum)
