Were recruiting for a Chemotherapy Nurse Specialist to join a growing clinical homecare service across the East Midlands.
This is a varied position combining patient home visits, clinic-based treatment and virtual assessments, giving you the chance to manage your own caseload and support patients throughout their oncology treatment journey. Whats on Offer?
Salary up to £55,000 per annum Company car or £5,000 car allowance 37.5 hours per week Part-time hours around 30 hours may be considered 33 days holiday Private pension scheme Homecare, clinic and virtual working Greater autonomy and one-to-one patient care Opportunity to deliver specialist oncology care within the community The Role As a Chemotherapy Nurse Specialist, youll: Deliver SACT and oncology treatments in patients homes and clinic settings Complete clinical assessments and virtual patient reviews Administer IV medication and prescribed cancer treatments Manage your own oncology caseload Monitor patients before, during and after treatment Recognise and respond to treatment-related side effects, adverse reactions and clinical deterioration Provide education, advice and ongoing support to patients and families Develop and review individualised care plans Work closely with consultants, GPs and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate clinical records and high standards of clinical governance What Were Looking For Youll need: Current NMC registration Strong oncology, chemotherapy or SACT nursing experience Current SACT Passport via Compassly, with at least 6 months remaining Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills Confidence working independently and managing your own caseload Full UK driving licence Flexibility to travel across the East Midlands Independent Nurse Prescriber qualification would be desirable but is not essential Willingness to complete an Independent Prescribing qualification if not already qualified Experience working as a Chemotherapy Nurse, Oncology Nurse, SACT Nurse, Community Chemotherapy Nurse, Community Oncology Nurse, Cancer Nurse or Clinical Homecare Nurse would be highly relevant.
