Are you an experienced Palliative Care Nurse, Hospice Nurse or Community Nurse looking to take the next step in your career? This is an opportunity to join a specialist palliative care service, earning up to £45,129, with full or part-time hours available, excellent benefits and fully supported Non-Medical Prescribing training.
You’ll provide specialist care to patients with life-limiting illnesses across Berkshire West and South Oxfordshire, working autonomously while being supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.
The Role
- Managing patients with complex palliative and end-of-life care needs, providing specialist assessment, symptom management and clinical support.
- Completing holistic assessments and developing individualised care plans.
- Managing complex symptoms and supporting patients approaching end of life.
- Providing specialist advice to patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals.
- Supporting telephone triage and responding to clinical enquiries.
- Working closely with GPs, community teams and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Advocating for patients and ensuring compassionate, person-centred care.
- Maintaining accurate and high-quality clinical documentation.
About You
- We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with active UK NMC registration as an RGN/Adult Nurse.
- Previous palliative or end-of-life care experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- The confidence to work autonomously within a specialist multidisciplinary team.
You don’t need to already be a Non-Medical Prescriber. If you haven’t completed the qualification, you’ll receive full support to achieve it as part of your professional development.
