We’re currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing and forward-thinking Occupational Health provider, who are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join their team based in Greater Manchester. This is a full-time, permanent position combining clinic-based work with regular travel to client sites using a fully equipped mobile medical unit, ideal for someone who enjoys a varied and hands-on role.

Role Overview

You will work collaboratively with the clinical team to deliver a full range of Occupational Health services to a diverse client base. This role involves both clinic and on-site work, with travel forming a key part of your responsibilities (paid within working hours).

Key Duties

  • Case management assessments and management referrals
  • Health surveillance (spirometry, audiometry, HAVS)
  • Administering vaccinations in line with the Green Book
  • Drug and alcohol screening
  • DSE and workplace health assessments
  • Delivering wellbeing clinics and health promotion initiatives
  • Making autonomous clinical decisions and referrals
  • Managing medical stock, vaccines, and equipment safely
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Supporting junior staff and contributing to team development
  • Participating in internal meetings and service improvement

You will also be responsible for travelling to client sites, operating a mobile medical unit, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a variety of workplace settings.

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse (NMC)
  • Minimum 2 years’ Occupational Health experience
  • Competent in spirometry, audiometry, HAVS, phlebotomy, and vaccinations
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel regularly to client sites
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Experience implementing clinical protocols and guidelines
