Social Worker - Children in Care - Up to £48,932
We’re partnered with a highly rated council in the South East of England, for an experienced practitioner to join their well established Children in Care service.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a tight-knit team with a highly supportive management structure who offer regular reflective supervision, ensuring you’re given the platform to do your best work.
We understand the importance of achieving a healthy work-life balance, especially when dealing with complex cases, with this council, working from home is very much encouraged, so you can expect to be in the office 1-1.5 days per week, and the rest from home.
Main duties:
- Act as allocated social worker for children, young people, and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children, leading long-term care planning, promoting stability and positive outcomesAssess and investigate safeguarding concerns, identifying risks and protective factorsPrepare high-quality reports, including for court proceedingsSupport court processes and give evidence when requiredLead on specialist areas to support service improvementEngage in supervisionto reflect, develop, and maintain professional standards
