Lead a specialist locked rehabilitation service with senior clinical responsibility and real influence over care delivery. This is a Consultant Psychiatrist role within a 21-bed locked rehabilitation service for women with complex mental health needs, including personality disorders. The service is supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team and established care pathways with local NHS partners. About the Service

You will work in a locked rehabilitation setting using positive behavioural support principles to promote recovery and independence. The service benefits from an experienced MDT, including nursing, psychology, therapies and support staff, with strong links into local NHS pathways and commissioning teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Responsible Clinician, providing senior clinical leadership and oversight of care and risk management.
  • Deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessment, formulation and evidence-based treatment within a rehabilitation model.
  • Chair ward rounds, CPA reviews and MDT clinical meetings.
  • Contribute to service development, clinical governance and quality improvement.
  • Provide supervision, guidance and support to junior medical staff and MDT colleagues.

About You

  • GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist with CCT or CESR in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
  • Approved Clinician and Section 12 approved, or able to achieve promptly.
  • Experience working within inpatient rehabilitation or specialist mental health services.
  • Confident clinical leader with strong MDT collaboration skills.
