This is a rare chance to live and work on the remote and remarkable island of St Helena, a self-governing UK Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic. You’ll take on a key strategic leadership role in a welcoming and close-knit community where your work will have a lasting impact across all areas of social care.
As Head of Service for Children’s and Adults’ Social Care—including Probation—you’ll be responsible for safeguarding, statutory compliance, care planning, workforce development and strategic improvement. You’ll also lead the integration of health and social care, while building strong relationships with UK Government bodies and local agencies.
You’ll support and develop your teams, influence service transformation, and play a critical role in shaping social care for the future of the island.
