Are you an experienced Registered Nurse ready to take the next step into senior leadership while remaining closely connected to clinical practice? We’re recruiting for a Clinical Deputy Manager to join a highly respected, values-led care provider with an exceptional reputation for delivering outstanding elderly, dementia and end‑of‑life care. This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation where quality of care genuinely comes before commercial targets, giving clinical leaders the autonomy, support and time to focus on what matters most—delivering exceptional outcomes for residents and developing high‑performing teams. If you’re passionate about leading from the front, inspiring others, and driving continuous improvement, this could be the perfect role for you.

The Role

As Clinical Deputy Manager, you’ll work alongside the Home Manager to provide clinical leadership across the service, supporting both residents and colleagues while maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting, coaching and developing Registered Nurses and care teams
  • Leading on clinical governance, quality improvement and CQC compliance
  • Deputising for the Home Manager when required
  • Delivering hands‑on nursing support to residents when needed
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and retention of clinical staff
  • Driving best practice in dementia, frailty, long‑term conditions and end‑of‑life care
  • Championing person‑centred, compassionate care throughout the service

What We’re Looking For

  • Active NMC registration (RGN or RMN)
  • Minimum two years’ post‑registration experience
  • At least 12 months in a senior nursing role within a care home environment
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance frameworks
  • Experience supporting residents with dementia, frailty and complex needs
  • A visible, hands‑on leadership style with excellent communication skills
  • Evidence of ongoing professional and clinical development
  • A genuine passion for developing people and delivering exceptional care

Why Nurses Join This Organisation

  • Not‑for‑profit provider focused on quality rather than occupancy targets
  • Supportive and highly visible senior leadership team
  • Strong staffing levels and collaborative clinical culture
  • Significant investment in learning, development and career progression
  • Opportunities to influence standards and shape service delivery
  • An organisation built around compassion, dignity and person‑centred care
  • Long‑standing reputation for investing in both residents and colleagues

Package & Benefits

  • £51,273 per annum
  • 35‑hour working week
  • Enhanced annual leave increasing with service
  • Extensive CPD and leadership development programmes
  • Paid breaks
  • Free meals whilst on shift
  • Free DBS and uniform
  • Free on‑site parking
  • Company pension scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Genuine long‑term career progression opportunities
