About the Service

The service delivers specialist inpatient care for young people with eating disorders, supported by psychiatry, psychology, nursing, dietetics, family therapy, occupational therapy and education. The service operates with clear governance and a strong emphasis on safe, compassionate, trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultant-level psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Act as Responsible Clinician and lead MDT clinical decision-making.
  • Prescribe and review medication in line with NICE guidance and best practice.
  • Work closely with families, community CAMHS teams, and external agencies.

About You

  • GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist with CCT or CESR in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status.
  • Experience working within CAMHS inpatient or eating disorder services.
