Work with adolescents in a specialist inpatient setting where clinical leadership and quality care matter. You’ll join Emerald Place Clinic, a 12-bed General Adolescent Inpatient Unit supporting young people aged 13–18 experiencing acute mental health challenges. This role suits senior psychiatrists who want real influence over clinical care, multidisciplinary practice, and therapeutic pathways in a well-resourced, trauma-informed environment.

About the Service
The unit provides inpatient psychiatric care for adolescents with complex emotional and behavioural needs. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, family therapists and education staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead psychiatric assessments, formulation and evidence-based care planning
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medication in line with NICE guidance
- Chair ward rounds, CPA reviews and Mental Health Act assessments
- Liaise with families, external agencies and community support services
About You
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise
- On the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Substantial experience in CYP-MH, preferably in inpatient settings
- Passion for trauma-informed, person-centred care
