We\’re currently working with a highly rated local authority in the South East of England, on a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join the Child and Family Assessment team as a Senior Social Worker.

Leaders in Care are offering £42/h for this role, one of the highest in the area currently.

With this council, you don’t have to worry about being bogged down with too many cases, as caseloads are split evenly across the service to ensure they are manageable, and you will be supported by a long-standing management structure to ensure a stable and stress free working environment.

You’ll also be joining a close-knit team that is supported by a stable, longstanding senior management team who allow you the platform to do your best work. This is done by allowing you to manage your own diary how you see fit, and no micro-management, only supporting when needed and trusting you to provide the best care to all children & families involved in the service.

The role will involve picking up child in need cases, ongoing care proceedings, conducting assessments and making informed decisions about the most appropriate interventions to support the child and family. Although this council are happy to consider a range of experience, experience in child protection and court work would be desirable.

Qualifications

• Social work qualification & registration to Social Work England
• 3 years permanent experience in an English council
