Job Description:

Leader Education are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work at a Primary School based in Hebburn. This school caters for EYFS through to KS2. They pride themselves on having an environment where children show respect and kindness to one another. Their vision is to work together, learn together and achieve together. The ideal candidate will have some experience working alongside children and young people in an educational environment.

They have continually achieved a \’Good\’ Ofsted rating and have been described as a welcoming and inclusive school where pupils thrive.

The normal working pattern isMonday-Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

  • An enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Some experience working alongside children with SEND in an educational setting
  • An adequate understanding of safeguarding and the overall welfare of children
  • The ability to assist with classroom activities and provide one-to-one support to pupils that may require extra support
  • A compassionate, kind and respectful personality
