Leader Education are looking for a Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a school supporting children with complex learning difficulties in Leeds. Within this role, you will be working with children who have a wide range of additional needs, including communication and interaction difficulties, sensory needs, and physical or medical requirements. You will provide support both on a one-to-one basis and within small groups, helping pupils to access the curriculum, develop key life skills, and build confidence in a nurturing environment. Your role will be vital in helping every child reach their potential, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Role Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- If you have a background in Youth Work, Care, Psychology, Health and Social Care, Sport, Creative Arts, or other relevant fields, we would love to hear from you.
