Leader Education is delighted to be recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming, small SEND school in Bedale. This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting children with SEND and/or PMLD — and is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to start a rewarding career in education or care. The school supports pupils aged 2–16 and is dedicated to building trusting relationships, creating inspiring learning spaces, and offering meaningful opportunities that help every child thrive. Their most recent Ofsted inspection rated them “Good”, reflecting their vibrant, inclusive and joyful learning community.
This is a long-term position (following a successful trial) with a consistent working pattern of Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to obtain one)
- Has relevant educational/work experience (desirable but not essential)
- Communicates clearly and builds positive, supportive relationships
- Is adaptable, patient and committed to meeting diverse student needs
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and child welfare
- Can confidently support pupils in accessing the curriculum and classroom learning
