About The Role
We are seeking a proactive SHEQ Coordinator to join our team, supporting health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across multiple sites. With operations spanning warehousing and fleet management for bulky goods, serving both consumer and trade customers, this role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement. This role is new to Leader Online, so this is an exciting opportunity to make your mark, help us build strength in safety excellence and support the operation through tools, knowledge and techniques to ensure we continuously improve and embed a proactive safety first culture.
Requirements
- Oversee SHEQ compliance across warehousing and fleet operations
- Develop SOPs, SSOW to ensure standards are met and improved
- Build frameworks to provide visibility to key activities that drive proactive activity that embeds a safety first culture
- Build and maintain reporting and visuals against key metrics
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify trends and corrective actions for consideration and implementation
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to maintain high safety standards
- Develop, support and improve incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Develop and deliver training to promote a strong safety culture
- Monitor environmental performance and drive sustainability initiatives
- Maintain documentation and reporting in line with regulatory and company requirements
- Liaise cross‑functionally both within the operation and across the business to ensure operational excellence
- Prepare SHEQ communications for business wide awareness
About You
- Experience in SHEQ coordination within logistics, warehousing, or fleet environments
- Experience of HSE, RIDDOR, LOLER, PUWER requirements
- Experience of safety standards in an operational area including machinery e.g. FLT
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and ISO standards e.g. ISO45001
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across diverse teams
- Ability to influence across all levels and functions
- Ability to work with data to identify trends and root cause
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
- NEBOSH or equivalent qualification desirable
