Leader Education are looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to work in a Mainstream Primary School based in Newcastle. The successful TA will work 1:1 and in small groups with children who may have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and ideally have prior experience working in education. This school creates an inspiring and caring school community in which every child is encouraged to reach their full capability.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one

Experience of working with young children

A motivating and supportive presence towards the children

An encouraging attitude towards the students by assisting them with their needs within the classroom

Clear communication skills

An ability to empower the students when reaching achievements or small goals

Help to plan classroom activities and prepare materials needed for each lesson
