We are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate KS2 SEN Teacher to join a specialist primary provision supporting pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Purpose of the Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse and individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Adapt teaching using assessment data to monitor progress and inform next steps
  • Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, aligned with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective, consistent support
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS or QTLS
  • Have proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management within special education
  • Be able to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning
  • Show resilience, empathy, adaptability, and a passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
  • Be committed to professional conduct, safeguarding, and inclusive practice
