The Leader Group are working with an esteemed client who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to join their team as a Teaching Assistant at an Outstanding Independent SEN School catering to pupils aged 11-17 with Autism and other special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor, support, and inspire learners through curriculum-based learning in the classroom, home tuition, outreach, and outdoor activities.
- Assist in preparing learning materials and contribute to delivering learning objectives with a strong emphasis on behavioural management.
- Prepare daily reports on learner\’s progress and address any barriers to learning.
- Maintain regular interactions with parents and caregivers to support student development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A committed and passionate approach to working with students with SEND.
- At least two years\’ experience in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision.
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (advantageous).
