Leader Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support LSA to join a school in Blyth, Northumberland, supporting pupils across Key Stages 1, 2, and 3. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children with behavioural, social, and emotional needs reach their full potential in a supportive school environment.

The working hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and social, emotional, and learning needs
  • Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive classroom environment
  • Encouraging pupils to engage in learning and develop positive behaviour
  • Supporting pupils' emotional and social development through structured interventions
  • Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
Qualifications
  • Have experience working with children with behavioural and social needs (desirable but not essential)
  • Be patient, resilient, and adaptable
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hold a DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
  • Be committed to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential
