Leader Group is delighted to be working in partnership with a respected Therapeutic Education Service provider to recruit an Experienced KS2 SEND Teacher for an exciting specialist SEND school in Liverpool.
Salary: £27,456 - £43,014
Contract: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS2 Teacher to plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching for pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, uphold strong values, and work collaboratively within a specialist school setting to create a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment. The role involves supporting pupils aged 8 - 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs, and a range of associated social, emotional, communication, and sensory needs.
Responsibilities
- Support the oversight and delivery of the KS2 curriculum
- Plan and teach engaging lessons for small groups and individual pupils
- Prepare teaching materials, maintain registers, and complete reports
- Promote pupil confidence, independence, and a positive attitude to learning
- Manage behaviour effectively and mark work in line with school expectations
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Requirements
- A strong commitment to supporting pupils with SEND
- Minimum of two years experience working within a SEND setting or similar provision
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) is advantageous
- A calm, resilient, and flexible approach to teaching
