We are working in partnership with an independent SEND educator to recruit a passionate and dedicated Primary SEND Teacher for a brand-new school opening in Huddersfield this September. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a nurturing, inclusive setting from the ground up.

About the role

  • Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching for pupils across KS1 and KS2 with a range of SEND needs.
  • Support each child to make meaningful progress from their individual starting points within a calm, structured and supportive environment.
  • Plan and deliver tailored learning across a broad primary curriculum.
  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs.
  • Teach core skills including phonics, reading, writing and maths.
  • Build independence, confidence and engagement in learning.
  • Work closely with support staff, families and external professionals.
  • Contribute to EHCP targets, IEPs and progress tracking.

About you

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with primary-aged pupils and SEND.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching.
  • Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
  • Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
