About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Humanities Teacher to deliver engaging, personalised lessons to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) — including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, communication difficulties, and trauma-related barriers to learning.
In this rewarding role, you will:
- Teach Humanities subjects (History, Geography, RS, and related areas) across Key Stages, adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Support pupils in building curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking skills.
- Create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Work closely with a therapeutic, multi-disciplinary team to promote holistic development and wellbeing.
- Track and assess progress, ensuring every learner achieves personal growth and success.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is:
- Qualified – QTS/QTLS is essential.
- Experienced in SEN or therapeutic education (experience with SEMH or trauma-informed practice highly valued).
